If you call Venture Church your home, then the Church Weekend Away is a chance to grow in community and connection with each other and with God.
Our hope is for it to be fun, refreshing and an opportunity to go Further Up & Further In with God.

Where
The weekend is taking place at Otford Manor, Sevenoaks, Kent, TN15 6XF
On a good run, it’s less than 2 hours, but we realise that it might take longer on a Friday afternoon/evening on the M25!
Otford Manor is a beautiful manor house with some single rooms, some twin rooms but mostly bunk rooms which will be allocated to families. Bathroom facilities are shared, but each room has a wash basin. It’s an old property with a lot of stairs, but some areas have been upgraded to provide wheelchair access. And we have a choice of meeting areas so we’ll do what we can to make as much as we can accessible for as many as possible.
Programme
A rough programme for the weekend:
You can arrive from 7pm on Friday and you’ll be greeted with hot drinks and cake, followed by a short introductory session.
On the Saturday there’ll be two teaching sessions during the morning, with different activities for our younger people, lunch together then various activities during the afternoon which you can join in with, or not!
Saturday evening we’ll again eat together before having our evening gathering, which will include a bonfire.
Sunday consists of breakfast, a service and then lunch after which we can depart.
We do realise that it is Mother’s Day on the Sunday, and whilst the whole weekend cost is a fixed price to us, there can be flexibility if you wish to join most of the weekend but leave earlier on the Sunday so you can celebrate Mother’s Day elsewhere. We are however, not able to offer any discount on the price for less time, unless you only come for the Saturday daytime without accommodation.
Costs
The on-site cost of the weekend is £132 for adults and £88 for children aged 4-15 (under 4s are free).
A weekend 'meals only' rate (£78/adult & £48/children aged 4-15) is also available for those wishing to book their own accommodation and just join for the meals/weekend programme.
Bookings will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis and places are limited so do book in as soon as you can!
